OUR STORY
THE STORY BEHIND THE RINK
Long before it was called The Rink, this building on Bradshaw Road went by King’s Skate Country, and it’s where three future business owners, including current owner Brad Armstrong, first became friends as kids. When the rink closed its doors years later, Armstrong and two of those same childhood friends stepped in to reopen it rather than watch the building sit empty. Armstrong already knew the business well: he’d bought Reno’s Roller Kingdom back in 1999 and would go on to open Fallon’s Top Gun Skate Center years after that. As he put it back when the doors reopened in 2011, saving this rink was really about saving the friendships he’d made here, and that’s still true today.

THE RINK EVERYONE IN SACRAMENTO KNOWS
Most people who skate here didn’t plan on becoming regulars, they just came once for a birthday party or a Friday night out and kept finding reasons to come back. The floor’s been resurfaced, the lighting’s been updated, and reviewers keep mentioning both, but the reason families stick around hasn’t changed: it’s still an affordable, clean place to skate with people you like. Bring your own skates or use ours. Either way, we’ll see you out there.

WHY WE DO IT
IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO THE PEOPLE
Staff here will tell you the same thing regulars do: the lighting and the DJ get people in the door, but it’s the familiar faces that bring them back. We’ve seen kids who needed two hands on the rail turn into the ones doing tricks in the middle of the floor, and watched the same families claim the same corner booth every single week. None of that happens by accident. It happens because we keep this place clean, keep prices fair, and keep showing up for the people who keep showing up for us.
